The Importance of Maintaining Balance Between Exercise and Nutrition
Friday, December 14, 2018
“Exercise is king. Nutrition is queen. Put them
together and you’ve got kingdom.”
The human body, like all vehicles, requires regular maintenance. Many of us mistake this for simply sticking to specific health plans or hitting the gym and burning some fat. The reality is that exercise and nutrition both form a crucial part of the health care routine of the body. Exercise provides the body with an opportunity to burn excess calories while the right nutrients help it stay fueled up for everyday activities.
Exercise and Nutrition Complement Each Other
Striking a balance between both of these elements is important. They both go hand in hand. When you eat, you consume calories along with nutrients. While your body requires a certain amount of these too, the internal organs are more interested in nutrients like carbohydrates, fats and minerals. However, diet plans alone will cause you more harm than good in the long run. This is because just eating healthy doesn’t answer all the problems. A steady exercise routine helps keep the muscles and bones strong in order to compliment the nutrients obtained by food.
One Without the Other Will Not Provide the Desired Results
Exercise alone wears the body off quite rapidly. Most trainers rely on supplements to train their clients. This can be disastrous because these supplements are not a proper replacement for the nutrients that are derived from natural sources. Also, nutrition alone won’t draw the required results because the body will have no way to burn any unnecessary calories that might get stacked up over time.
The Right Nutrients
The body requires a balance of nutrients supplied by one’s diet. The ideal diet plan varies from individual to individual. A professional trainer can help you formulate the best diet plan that provides the body with an appropriate mix of all the ingredients necessary. In essence, there are a few foods that should be made a regular part of the daily routine. These include fruits, vegetables, nuts, whole grains and proteins. Besides these, water is one of the most underrated substances in our lives. Humans require up to 4 liters of water a day but on average we consume much less than that. This leads to several complications.
There are a variety of exercise routines that serve different purposes. They can differ depending on the requirements of the individual. You can have a regimen designed to improve stamina, lose weight or even make your muscles prominent. However, no matter which routine you choose, there is always a balance that you should strike. Let your coach/trainer design your workout but make sure that this professional also has proper knowledge of nutrition. This will help you stay ahead of the challenges and provide your body with the ideal balance that it requires to keep functioning effectively for a long time.
